Biography

60 million listeners. The sultry, heartfelt ballad debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard Top Singles chart and stayed in the Top 5 requested on New York's hottest pop music station, Z100 for more than a month. Inspired by a past relationship, the Houston-born Latina penned the track in just 15 minutes. Her self-titled debut album, on Latium/Universal Records, promises more hits chronicling the crazy emotions of love as she ushers in a new era of Latino superstars.

Out the box, fans decided Natalie was destined for success. After only six weeks at radio “Going’ Crazy” claimed the #11 on the Billboard Monitor Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart, was the #2 Greatest Gainer and debuted at #10 on AOL Music's Top 11 and was the most played song on AOL Music for the month of March. “Goin Crazy” also debuted #1 in single sales.

Surprisingly, the songstress was poised to pursue a more traditional career with her degree in criminal justice, but a chance audition with the Houston Rockets changed her life. She landed onto the local music scene where she danced for Houston artists and perfected her flow as a lyricist. While creating mix tapes she realized a strong passion for not only music, but for writing as well. She shows off her skills for capturing love’s fragile nature on eleven out of twelve tracks on the album.

Fate stepped in a second time when she was rapping at a club. Charles Chavez, president of Latium Entertainment spotted her and the rest is history. Latium Entertainment is a Houston-based recording and management company creating music by and for the English-speaking Latino community. It’s home to platinum Latino stars such as Frankie J., Baby Bash, Chamillionaire and Play N’ Skillz. Happy Perez (Jadakiss, Mystikal and Master P), who produced the hit single “Suga Suga” for Baby Bash featuring Frankie J., also lends his Midas touch to her album.

Delicate and melodious, her silky voice floats atop a mid-tempo beat in the breezy “Energy” featuring Baby Bash, while she infuses new energy into the sure-to-be club favorite remake of “I Can’t Wait” by 80s pop group, Nu Shooz. She also collaborates with former Vi3 cutie and Making the Band finalist Justin Roman on “Where Are You?”
These cuts are sure to keep fans spinning the disc in their rides and will keep the djs bumping it in the clubs. In her ballad, “Stay”, she changes the game with vocals that sound like a young Janet Jackson as she sings with longing and hope about a new love.

By working with various producers in the Houston area, “I want people to recognize all the musical talent we have here,” says the singer. Influenced by the likes of Jadakiss, Gwen Stefani, Usher, Beyonce and Aaliyah, Natalie possesses versatility like many of the musicians who have inspired her. “I want to be a great entertainer,” she says. “I love making all kinds of music from ballads, to dance tracks and club tracks, all of these styles are on my album.” From her hit “Goin’ Crazy”, in English and Spanish, to the sassy “Part-Time Lover,” Natalie displays her range and proves she can hold it down.

It’s no secret that Natalie is one to watch in the entertainment industry.
